PSP - DJ Max Hits PSP This November
DJ Max is a series of rhythm games that originated from Korea. The series is famous for its tracks and a challengingly fun difficulty setting. If you have tried importing the game before, then you should be pleased that you no longer have to do so as DJ Max Fever, the latest off the series, is getting its own North American release.
PM Studios have confirmed that Pentavision’s DJ Max Fever will arrive to the States. It is reported to be a concoction of DJ Max Portable and DJ Max 2, and also offers a lot of content.
“The title will pack in more than 100 songs for you to tap through; a Freestyle mode that’s activated by performing a perfect mix; goal-based contests called Extreme challenges; five difficulty levels…; Network Battle Mode; and a collection gallery to house the music videos, soundtracks, and images you unlock.”
The game has been scheduled for release on November 11. ‘Till then!

PSP European edition
PSP gamers and fans alike in BeNeLux area will have a chance to get their hands on new releases soon, as well as two limited edition PSPs.
These two limited edition PSPs are the SpiderMan-themed and The Simpsons-themed red and yellow PSPs, which will be made exclusive in the Europe area for a limited time only, as well as the following games:
- Pursuit Force: Extreme Justice - November 23
- SOCOM Tactical Strike - November 28
- Syphon Filter Logan’s Shadow - November 30
- WipeOut Pulse - End of November
The release date for the limited edition PSPs (Spiderman-themed and The Simpsons-themed PSPs) has yet to be determined though.

PSP - Simpsons PSP Bundle On Way to Europe
To keep up with the growing trend in the gaming industry of producing PSP bundle deals, then this news is something you can nibble on. Sony and Electronic Arts (EA) are teaming up in bringing the special PSP bundle pack for The Simpsons Game.
Included in the offer is the full The Simpsons Game, as well as a limited edition yellow and Black Sony PlayStation Portable. Unfortunately for US gamers, this bundle pack is available exclusively in Europe.
The Simpsons Game, which is based on the famous animated televesion show the same title, has been released on various gaming platforms such as Xbox, Ps3, Wii.

PSP - SOCOM: Tactical Strike Demo Available, SCEA Launches Challenge
Good news to all gamers! Sony Computer entertainment America has officially launched the demo for their PSP exclusive title SOCOM: US Navy SEALs Tactical Strike. The release promises some exciting new challenges and a worthwhile gaming time for everyone.
The demo consists of three different missions to accomplish, as provided by SCEA:
- Training Camp: For your first training mission, familiarize yourself with SEALs techniques by watching the Tutorial Videos. Complete your training by answering questions.
- Mission: Get a taste of what it’s like to be in command. Play the demo, then brief us on your favorite tactics.
- Debrief: Now it’s time to give your opinion.. Did you think SOCOM U.S. Navy SEALs: Tactical Strike lived up to its namesake? Will you complete your mission when the game is launched?
The ten players who will emerge as the best for the said challenge will each get a copy of the SOCOM: US Navy SEALs Tactical Strike game, the official strategy guide, and a SOCOM Carabiner key chain. Don’t you think it is very nice?

PSP - Playstation Portable’s New Cricket Game
Empire Interactive has just announced that the International Cricket Captain III (ICC III) title will now be available for play in the PSP and PS2.
This latest iteration for the International Cricket Captain series was originally made available for the PC in July 2007, which will allow gamers to create, train and nurture their very own cricket team.
This new release will follow on with the franchise’s legacy of 3D graphics engine, instant replays, and enhanced decision-making controls. The PSP port for this game will allow two players to have their custom teams go up against each other via the handheld’s WiFi connection.
Not only that, this game is also equipped with a short exhibition match based on Cricket’s Twenty20 matches. Currently scheduled for a November 16 release in the UK, International Cricket Captain III for the PSP retails at US $41.

PSP - Tutorial On using Skype software in PSP
Sony Computer Entertainment America (SCEA) has announced that Skype for the PSP is finally live. Now worldwide PSP 2000 owners may now get to place calls using their handhelds so long as they have a WiFi spot within their own area.
Ourhappyshopping.com has posted a guide to help fans with accessing Skype through their handheld. The following is the step-by-step guide :
*Install the 3.90 firmware upgrade to the PSP-2000 system.
* Connect the PSP to the Internet via Wi-Fi hotspot.
* Attach a PSP Headset and the Remote Control from the PSP-2000 Headphones to the system, and insert a Memory Stick Duo to save the Skype application software.
* Access the Skype/Sign In icon within the Network category of the XMB menu. If you ve never used Skype on your PC, you can create a free account directly on your PSP. If you already have a Skype account, you can simply enter your username/password.
* To make a call, either access the Contacts icon and click on a name or scroll to the Dial icon and use the keypad.
In the meantime, enjoy this new service you can avail through your Sony PSP.
The service is free to use to call other Skype users, whether they are on a PSP or the PC. However, to make calls to regular phone numbers one does should have Skype credits in advance. As mentioned before, this service is only available to owners of the new model PSP2000. This is due to Skype software needs more RAM to act as buffer for speech .
PSP game: The Harvest Moon franchise new online features
The Harvest Moon franchise new online features will give its fans even more reason to enjoy the game. Marvelous entertianment president Yasuhiro Wada confirmed this detail in an interview with Game Informer.
In the said interview, Wada confirmed details regarding Harvest Moon’s online features but did not specify on which platform. There is no mention on whether it will be an MMORPG for the PC either. The only other details he has given was that 2 to 8 players will be able to interact, even considering the probability of letting each player have the same NPCs available in your town.
